Hundreds of volunteers are teaming up to remove trash from Sumner County cities on Saturday, March 25, after the 2022 accomplishment of 12 tons were removed, the first year the countywide cleanup was held. The Sumner County Community Spring Cleanup include areas of Gallatin, Hendersonville, Goodlettsville, Portland, Westmoreland and White House, organizers said. More than 300 volunteers participated last year to remove litter from roadways and waterways where trash accumulates, according to Ashley Berry, chair of the Sumner County Health Committee.
