Cleveland Mayor Kevin Brooks was elected to the Tennessee Municipal League's 2023-24 board of directors during the organization's annual business meeting recently held in Nashville. Ron Williams, Farragut's mayor, was elected president. Brooks was nominated by the TML membership for consideration by a six-member nominating committee composed of municipal officials statewide. He was then elected for a one-year term by a majority vote from members in attendance at the annual business meeting. Founded in 1940 and based in Nashville, the TML advocates for the interests of 345 cities and towns across the state of Tennessee.
