February 19th-25th The TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF TOURIST DEVELOPMENT is once again hosting TENNESSEE SONGWRITERS WEEK, with more than a thousand songwriters competing to play at city's THE BLUEBIRD CAFE. The competition, now in its fifth year, is currently underway with more than 50 qualifying rounds at music venues, restaurants, museums, coffee shops and more in seven musically distinct regions across the state, all leading up to TENNESSEE SONGWRITERS WEEK, taking place FEBRUARY 19th – 25th. A state law has designated TENNESSEE SONGWRITERS WEEK as the last full week of FEBRUARY each year.
